We provide a multi-school learning platform where schools, creators, instructors, teachers, students, and administrators can create schools, publish courses, sell learning products, process enrollments, manage student learning, and use the Hunar Portal mobile app.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store, and protect information when you use hunarportal.org, school subdomains and custom school websites powered by Hunar Portal, admin tenant dashboards, teacher dashboards, student dashboards, course checkout pages, payment and payout workflows, and the Hunar Portal mobile application.

Communications: messages sent through contact forms, support tickets, email, phone, WhatsApp or similar support channels, and operational notices related to your account or school.

3. How We Use Information

We use information to create and manage accounts, verify users, allow schools to operate their learning websites, publish and deliver courses, enroll students, process payments, manage payouts, provide teacher and admin tools, show learning progress, operate the mobile app, prevent fraud, provide support, improve platform performance, and comply with legal or regulatory obligations.

We also use information to send service notifications, trial and billing reminders, login alerts, enrollment confirmations, payment receipts, payout updates, course communications, feature updates, and support responses.

We may use aggregated or de-identified information to understand platform usage, improve speed and reliability, improve course discovery, analyze business performance, and develop new features.

4. School-Controlled Data

Hunar Portal is a multi-school platform. When you use a specific school website or school subdomain, that school may control parts of the information collected from its students, teachers, and administrators. Schools are responsible for the content they publish, their learner communications, course policies, and how they use their own exported or accessed records.

If you are a student or teacher of a specific school, your school administrators may access relevant information such as your profile, enrollment, progress, comments, reviews, questions, assignment records, and payment or order status connected with that school.

5. Payments, Gateways, and Revenue Share

For paid courses, subscriptions, revenue share plans, invoices, and payouts, we may share required transaction information with payment processors, banks, payout providers, fraud prevention services, and accounting systems.

In revenue share or platform-managed payment models, Hunar Portal or its approved payment providers may collect course payments on behalf of schools and settle payouts according to applicable plan terms, gateway rules, refund policies, and compliance requirements.

In plans where schools connect their own gateways or bank details, the school and its chosen provider may process payment data under their own terms and privacy policies.

6. Mobile App Privacy

The Hunar Portal mobile app allows students to find their school, sign in, browse courses, continue enrolled learning, watch lessons, save favourites, ask questions when enabled, and access supported offline learning inside the app.

The app may store authentication sessions, selected school details, cached course information, favourites, and offline learning files inside the app to improve speed and keep users signed in. Offline content remains inside the app environment and should not be treated as a permanent device download.

The app may collect device diagnostics, app version, crash information, and usage activity needed to maintain security, improve performance, and troubleshoot support issues.

7. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for authentication, session security, school routing, remembering preferences, analytics, performance, and fraud prevention.

You can control cookies from your browser settings, but disabling required cookies may prevent login, checkout, admin tools, or learning features from working correctly.

8. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We may share information with schools using the platform, payment and payout providers, hosting and infrastructure providers, analytics and monitoring providers, email and communication services, support tools, legal or regulatory authorities, and professional advisers where necessary to operate the service.

We may disclose information if required by law, court order, government request, fraud investigation, security incident response, rights protection, payment dispute, or enforcement of our terms.

9. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These safeguards may include access controls, encrypted connections, secure authentication practices, activity logging, role-based permissions, backups, and monitoring.

No online platform can guarantee complete security. Users must keep passwords confidential, use secure devices, and notify us immediately if they believe their account or school has been accessed without permission.

10. Data Retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the platform, maintain school records, process payments and payouts, comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit, fraud prevention, and dispute obligations, and enforce our agreements.

If a trial expires or a school account is suspended or deleted according to our product rules, we may retain limited records where required for legal, billing, security, fraud prevention, or backup purposes.

11. Your Choices and Rights

Depending on your location and account type, you may request access, correction, deletion, export, or restriction of certain personal information. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

Students and teachers connected to a school may also need to contact their school administrator for records controlled by that school. We may route or coordinate relevant requests with the school where appropriate.

You can update many account details from your dashboard, unsubscribe from non-essential communications where available, clear app cache from app settings, or contact support for account-related requests.

12. Children and Student Users

Hunar Portal is designed for education and professional learning. Schools are responsible for ensuring they have the right permissions and lawful basis before enrolling minors or collecting student information from children.

If you believe a child has provided information without appropriate permission, contact us so we can review and take appropriate action.

13. Third-Party Links and Integrations

Courses, school websites, payment pages, live sessions, downloads, or dashboards may include links or integrations with third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, not this Privacy Policy.

Schools may choose to connect third-party tools, custom websites, payment gateways, analytics, communication services, or integrations. Users should review those third-party terms and privacy policies when using them.

14. International Users

If you access Hunar Portal from outside Pakistan, your information may be processed in countries where we, our infrastructure providers, payment providers, or service partners operate. By using the platform, you understand that data may be transferred and processed according to this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

15. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, payment or app store requirements, security improvements, or business updates. The updated version will be posted on this page with a revised date.
